Barriers faced by student survivors of sexual violence who identify as a racial minority and transgender, bi-gender, non-binary, gender fluid, or gender non-conforming

Examining the barriers faced by student survivors who identify as a racial minority and transgender, bi-gender, non-binary, gender fluid, or gender non-conforming in disclosing, reporting, or seeking help after experiencing sexual violence on or off campus


Participants will be asked to take part in a 90-minute interview about the barriers they faced in disclosing, reporting, or seeking help after experiencing sexual violence while attending college or university. Participants may have experienced sexual violence on or off campus. All participant identities will be kept confidential and no identifying information will be used (such as participant names or names of colleges/universities).

Compensation and Expectations

Eligible participants will be offered a $25 Visa Gift Card after the completion of the interview

1. Are you 18 years or older and self-identify as both a racial minority and transgender, bi-gender, non-binary, gender fluid, or gender non-conforming?

 
 

2. Did you experience sexual violence on or off campus while attending college or university? *Do not have to be currently enrolled, could be graduated or no longer attending

 
 
 

3. Did you experience sexual violence at least 6 months prior to this study?

 
 

4. Are you currently experiencing any ongoing violence or abuse?
